Problems with Current Coverage
The Bureau is here to provide you with free assistance if you have questions or
problems concerning your current coverage. We will not be able to answer policy-specific
questions without additional information. If you have policy-specific questions,
you should contact your insurer first. If you do not get a satisfactory response
from your insurer, or have other types of concerns, please contact us.
Have a general question about insurance?
Consumer Service Representatives can handle your inquiries over the telephone. They
can be reached Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at our toll free number 1-877-310-6560,
or our direct number at (804) 371-9691 (Life and Health Insurance) and (804) 371-9185
(Property and Casualty Insurance). If we cannot assist you by telephone, we will
advise you to file a written complaint or inquiry with the Bureau. We will provide
you with a written response to your written complaint or inquiry.
