Payphone Service Providers and Operator Service Providers operating in Virginia are required to file an annual registration form as outlined in statutes pertaining to the Pay Telephone Registration Act (§56-508.15 and §56-508.16 of the Code of Virginia). A fee is assessed annually (as provided in the Virginia Administrative Code 20 VAC 5-407) and is due on January 16th.

Although the fee is collected by the Division of Public Service Taxation, all records of the providers are maintained by the Division of Communications (804-371-9420).
