RICHMOND — The State Corporation Commission (SCC) will
hold a public hearing on April 24, 2012, on a request by Kentucky Utilities Company
for an increase in its fuel rate. The fuel rate increase will take effect April
1, 2012, on an interim basis, subject to adjustment upon further order of the Commission.
Kentucky Utilities, doing business in Virginia as Old Dominion Power Company, seeks
to increase its fuel factor by 0.111 cents per kilowatt-hour (¢/kWh) from 3.026¢/kWh
to 3.137¢/kWh. The proposed fuel factor will increase a customer’s monthly bill
by $1.11 for each 1,000 kWh of electricity used.
A public hearing on the request is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2012.
It will be held in the Commission’s second floor courtroom located in the Tyler
Building, 1300 East Main Street, in downtown Richmond. Any person wishing to comment
at the hearing should arrive early and notify the SCC bailiff.
Written comments on the proposal must be submitted by April 17, 2012. All correspondence
